1. LGV & HGV Training - Category C

How long will it take to get my class 1 HGV (Cat CE) licence?
You can pass your class 1 HGV driving test with us in as little as 1 week if you are upgrading from a Cat C licence, if not you will need to go for a D4 medical first and then apply for your provisional licence, so the direct access courses usually take around 4 -5 weeks to complete.
Important: All course are different depending on the driver’s experience. It is always a good idea to talk to advisers from our team to enable the best Course suitable for you.
All course requires the driver to complete a medical theory and practical test.
The driver will need to complete the A3 reversing exercise this will be completed on the driving lessons before being presented for test. The test last for approximately 1 hour 10 mins and starts with the show me tell me questions then the driver with be tested his driving skills on various road including motorways on some occasions a independent drive will take place and the moving off and stopping routine.
2. LGV & HGV Training C+E
Having a class 2 driving licence can open up many opportunities if you are new to the HGV industry or even if you are upgrading from a smaller HGV licence. We offer excellent training with friendly and relaxed lessons we have modern vehicles and are experts in helping people gain that all-important class 2 HGV licence
How long will it take to get my HGV class 2 licence?
You can pass your LGV class 2 test with us in as little as 1 week if you have already passed your theory tests, if not you will need to go for a D4 medical first and then apply for your provisional licence so the class 2 HGV training course usually take around 4 -6 weeks to complete.

Medical & Theory
The medical takes maximum 7 -14 days to get booked in depending on what Dates you are available. The theory can then be applied for after your drivers licence returns from the DVLA this could take 2-3 weeks but usually quicker.
Then we can book you in for your theory tests and when you have passed that we can get you in for your driving lessons.
The driving part of the tests well require show me tell questions a reversing exercise coupling and uncoupling the vehicle the test last around an hour and 10mins, drivers will be required to do and independent drive and moving of and stopping routine.

Category D1 + D1+E
For this training you will need to complete your medical and your theory tests The 100 question multiple-choice questionnaire where the pass mark is 85%
There also is a hazard perception test where the pass mark is 67 out of 100
The time frame to complete the tests is 1 hour an 55 minutes.
The driving lessons for D1 minibus are in 5-hour sessions over 3 days. Within the Training you will undergo road craft driving styles with a reverse exercise called 3A.

Then there is a drive that last over an hour with an independent drive and some motorway driving and some local road driving.
